How to get involved
We are a group of parents and carers working together to enrich school life - from funding important projects like outdoor spaces and I.T. to creating fun memories at events for the whole community.

Being part of the PTA doesn't have to mean a huge commitment - there are ways you can help that fit around your schedule, interests and energy levels. Whether you'd love to lead something or just help out occasionally - there's a place for you here. Everything makes a difference.

How many people do we need? The more the merrier but at least 3 or 4. Ideally we'd love parents of younger years who can commit to helping for a few years (although all help is welcome!).
Time commitment: Planning starts in January with the event usually held in mid-May.
January-April: around 2 hours per month
May: around 2-4 hours per week
Event weekend: availability required for set-up from Friday after school and clear-up finishing Sunday morning.

WEBSITE MANAGER - help keep our PTA website fresh, useful and up to date. A great way to contribute if you prefer calm, focused tasks to event-day madness.
What you'll do: You'll look after small, straightforward updates to the PTA website, including setting up ticket sales for events, updating sponsor logos, publishing news and event information and keeping the volunteer vacancies page current. Nothing complex - it's all about keeping things ticking over.
Time commitment: Once you're familiar with the system, this role takes up to 1 hour per month on average.
How complicated is it? We use Wix, which is widely described as "Duplo for website building". If you're reasonably computer literate literate you'll be able to pick it up quickly - and if you already know Wix, even better.
Support you'll have:
- A full handover from two committee members who built the site
- Ongoing technical support from another parent with Wix experience
- Collaboration with the PTA comms person to ensure relevant, clear, consistent messages.
Who it'll suit: Perfect for someone who enjoys technical, behind-the-scenes tasks, likes discrete, clearly defined jobs, and is comfortable using a computer (or already familiar with Wix).
In-short: Spend around an hour a month keeping the PTA website up to date using an easy system (Wix). Great if you quiet, behind-the-scenes tasks with clear handover and support.

This role directly suppports everything the PTA funds - from school resources to community events

Support you'll have:
- A ready made professional sponsorship brochure
- A clear sponsorship offer to share with businesses
- An existing network of contacts
- Full backing from a friendly, supportive committee.
You won't be starting from scratch.
Who it'll suit: This role is ideal for someone who needs flexibility to dip in and out, enjoys chatting to people and building relationships, has local connections or would like to make some, and wants to make a big impact with minimal time. You can shape this role entirely around your availability.
In-short: A super-flexible role helping local businesses support the school, with ready-made materials and full committee backing. Ideal if you want to make a big impact in just a few hours a year.
